Another record has broken by human race

For the first time in human history the carbon dioxide (CO2)  in the atmosphere has reached at alarming level of 415.26 parts per million (ppm), according to sensors at the Mauna Loa Observatory, a research outpost of the National Oceanic and atmospheric Agency.

CO2 emission over time as recorded by measurements of Arctic ice and the Mauna Lao Observatory.

The meaning of above in simple term is very devastating of humans as well as ecology. In percentage term the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere is now becomes 0.04% . That’s a major change.  Now its going to contribute more in global warming.

CO2 is generated when fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas are burned to power our world, they release CO2. After the industrial revolution the rapid use of fossil fuel took place and it contribute alots of CO2 in the atmosphere. The above clearly shows the rapid increase in CO2 level.

Major effect of this:

Increase in the average temperature of the earth.

Extreme weather like fore frequent cyclone, drought, flood, etc

Melting of glacier and increase in sea level.

Permafrost region of northern Russia meltdown and release more CO2 and it becomes chain reaction.
